The airline was previously known as Nordkalottflyg and was established almost 35 years ago and the name was changed to Barents AirLink in 2006. It is based at Luleå Airport and operates domestic flights, Monday to Friday only, to Pajala, two morning and two evening. The airline has previously operated a more comprehensive network of domestic and international routes.

Barents Air Link Barents AirLink is small, three aircraft operation with just one route from Lulea to Pajala. The airline has previously flown to Kiruna and Tromso but no longer and we know not why. Indeed why do they fly to Pajala ?? Could it be the tourist attractions of the Northern Lights, the worlds biggest sundial or the 335 metre high TV transmiter. Could it be for business reasons as we do know that several electrical and computer companies have shown growth in the Pajala region. No contest really, its just gotta be the sundial......If you know differently please let us know. Whatever your reason if you have to get to Pajala you must try Barents AirLink.
